POSITION OVERVIEW
Join our dynamic team at Evernest as a Trade Specialist Apprentice! As a valued member of our workforce, you'll assist licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians while also handling basic service requests independently. You will be responsible for efficiently scheduling and executing work orders using our advanced work order management system, while actively developing the skills needed to become a licensed trade professional.
This role calls for individuals who are eager to learn, take initiative, and operate with a disciplined, proactive mindset. Success in this position requires the ability to support a team while progressively building independence in the field.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
No On Call required!
Benefits: Employee only benefits (health, dental, vision) at no cost to the employee. Plus, add a spouse or child at a competitive price.
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 paid out over the first 180 days of employment. $500.00 Tool Allowance paid out at your 60 day mark with Evernest. You will also receive this Tool Allowance yearly on the anniversary of your start date.
Quarterly Bonus: Opportunity to earn an additional bonus based on performance, productivity, and skill progression.
Hours Expected: Minimum of 40 hours per week; OT available if needed.
PTO: Time off and sick leave accrual in addition to 8 paid company holidays plus 2 floating holidays of your choice.
Work Environment: Apprentices will support lead technicians and gradually manage their own schedule for assigned work orders. A company vehicle will be provided; tools required.
Job Type: Full-time hourly employment.
We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow into skilled trades professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist plumbers and HVAC technicians with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and completing repairs. This includes performing physical labor such as digging and working in confined spaces, including crawl spaces and attics.
  • Complete basic service requests independently (light plumbing, light electrical, light carpentry, and minor repairs).
  • Organize and schedule assigned work orders - crucial to hit KPIs.
  • Learn to diagnose issues and provide repair estimates under guidance.
  • Audit and close out all credit card transactions.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings.
  • Perform daily/weekly vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic knowledge or interest in plumbing, HVAC, or general maintenance.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
  • Valid Driver's License (Required).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds (Required).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
