Job description

Home Infusion Account Executive Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Home Infusion Account Executive to develop new business and grow referral relationships for both specialty and acute home infusion therapies.

This field-based sales position will build relationships with physicians, hospitals, specialty practices, discharge planners, case managers, infusion centers, and other healthcare referral sources. The ideal candidate has healthcare sales experience, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage and grow an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales plan for the assigned territory.
  • Generate new referrals for specialty and acute home infusion therapies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
  • Conduct presentations, office visits, educational meetings, and lunch-and-learns.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with referral sources and prospective accounts.
  • Collaborate with Intake, Authorization, Pharmacy, Nursing, Revenue Cycle, and Operations teams to support patient onboarding.
  • Track sales activity, referrals, opportunities, and follow-up tasks within the company CRM.
  • Monitor market activity, referral trends, and competitive opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed established referral and territory-growth goals.
Therapy Areas

Specialty and acute therapies may include:

  • Immunoglobulin therapies
  • Gastroenterology and neurology therapies
  • Rheumatology and dermatology therapies
  • Biologic and immune-modulating therapies
  • Alpha-1 antitrypsin therapies
  • Intravenous antibiotics
  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
  • Other specialty and acute infusion therapies
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of healthcare sales, business development, provider relations, or referral-development experience preferred.
  • Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical, hospital, medical-device, or post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong sales, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a territory and multiple accounts.
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Experience
  • Existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, or specialty practices.
  • Experience with acute and specialty home infusion services.
  • Knowledge of insurance, prior authorization, benefit verification, and specialty medication access.
Work Environment

This is a primarily field-based position requiring regular travel to hospitals, physician offices, healthcare facilities, and referral accounts. Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend events may be required.
