South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family; we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! The crew here at SMC is proud of what we do, and we approach every situation with our Values in mind. We believe every contribution (big or small) is worth making remarkable enough to be remembered, or more simply put, whatever we do, we make it legendairy.


We are currently hiring for a Home Delivery Driver at our Home Farm location in Middletown, MD!


Candidates for this position must be 21 years of age or older.


Our Delivery Drivers are the driving force of SMC (get it?) - without our Delivery Team, SMC would not be where we are today. It's a crew made up of self-motivated, safe, and detail-oriented people - are you ready to join us?


This position is scheduled to start between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. with 10-hour days. 


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving delivery routes - which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, and DC
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Lifting 40-50lbs from ground level to waist height
  • Carrying deliveries to the customer's preferred delivery location
  • Reminder: we bottle in glass bottles
  • Utilizing a tablet to read customer orders
  • Selecting the correct bags
  • Selecting the correct milk/tea/lemonade bottles
  • Making accurate deliveries
  • Completing other delivery tasks as needed
  • Assisting other departments as needed

Home Delivery Drivers are paid a base rate that is calculated either per stop or per day, depending on the route, and can receive tips from customers. Safe and effective drivers are eligible for monthly bonus pay!


The position offers a starting base day rate of $175 per day, with the opportunity to earn an additional daily incentive of $50.
