Workplace Setting

At Baker Construction, this role functions in a dual environment, split between a professional corporate office and active construction project sites. In the office, you will frequently utilize standard business technology, including computers, telecommunications, and document management systems.

When visiting or working on-site, you may be exposed to more rugged conditions, including:

  • Industrial Elements: Work near moving mechanical equipment, vibrations, and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • External Conditions: Tasks may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, from high heat to cold elements.
  • Acoustics: Noise levels at project sites can be significant, ranging from moderate to loud.

Physical Requirements

To perform the essential functions of this position, the following physical capabilities are necessary:

  • Movement: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking across both level and uneven surfaces. You may occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl to inspect work or navigate a site.
  • Coordination: Regular use of hands and arms to operate computers, handle documents, and reach for equipment.
  • Strength: The ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, with the occasional need to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Sensory Perception: Clear verbal communication and the ability to hear instructions are vital. Specific vision requirements include sharp close and distance vision, depth perception, color distinction, and the ability to adjust focus quickly between different tasks.

Baker Construction is an equal opportunity employer. In compliance with federal and Washington state laws, we provide reasonable accommodations to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role, provided such accommodations do not cause undue hardship to the company.
