Job description

What\'s Awesome About Our Client?

  • They\'ve built one of the strongest reputations for luxury custom home construction in Montana, with nearly two decades of delivering exceptional craftsmanship and client experience.
  • This is a rare opportunity to become one of the first leaders responsible for launching an entirely new market, giving you significant influence over how the company grows in Utah.
  • Leadership gives experienced people real ownership. You\'ll have the autonomy to manage your projects while working directly with ownership to help shape the Utah operation.
  • The company is known for quality over volume. Every project is highly custom, architecturally significant, and requires thoughtful collaboration from preconstruction through completion.
  • Turnover is low, the team is collaborative, and the culture is built around professionalism, accountability, and building exceptional homes the right way.

Why This Job - Project Manager

Our client is expanding into Utah after establishing itself as one of Montana\'s premier luxury custom home builders. This Project Manager will play a foundational role in leading the company\'s first luxury residential projects throughout the Salt Lake City and Wasatch Front market while helping establish its long-term presence in Utah.

This role goes well beyond traditional project management. You\'ll own project budgets, schedules, estimating, forecasting, and client communication from preconstruction through completion while helping develop the company\'s subcontractor network, supplier relationships, and operating standards in a brand-new market. You\'ll work closely with Superintendents, architects, designers, owners, and executive leadership to deliver complex custom homes while building the relationships that will support future growth.

One of the things that makes this opportunity unique is the level of autonomy. Because this is a new market, you\'ll have the opportunity to influence how projects are delivered, establish preferred trade partners, and become a trusted representative of the company throughout the Utah luxury residential community.

The work itself is equally rewarding. These aren\'t production homes built from static plans. Every project is unique, requiring collaboration, creative problem solving, and the ability to adapt as designs evolve throughout construction. Leadership is looking for someone who understands constructability, communicates proactively, and enjoys solving complex challenges alongside owners, architects, and field teams.

If you\'re looking for the opportunity to help establish a respected luxury builder in a new market while managing some of Utah\'s highest-end residential projects, this is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing high-end custom residential projects, ideally in the $5M-$10M+ range.
  • Strong experience with estimating, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and owner communication.
  • Existing relationships within the Salt Lake City or Wasatch Front subcontractor, supplier, or design community are highly preferred.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
  • A professional, relationship-driven leadership style with strong communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to work independently in a growing market.

Where and How Much:

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, with projects throughout the greater Salt Lake and Wasatch Front area.

Compensation: From $130K base salary with discretionary bonus.

Benefits: 100% employer-paid health insurance for employees and their families, 401(k) with 4% company match, generous PTO, paid holidays, and company vehicle.

Schedule: Hybrid schedule with approximately 1-2 days per week on project sites and the remainder working remotely.
