Job description

Position Overview The Field Project Manager is a remote-based position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion. While the position is remote, regular travel throughout North Carolina and South Carolina is required to support projects and visit job sites. The amount of travel and overnight stays will vary based on the location of projects and the candidate’s home location.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, field operations, logistics, construction, automotive, or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience coordinating teams, vendors, customers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
  • Ability to stay overnight when project locations require it.
  • Valid driver’s license and great driving record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, project management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning and scheduling through completion.
  • Coordinate field activities, personnel, vendors, materials, and resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits throughout North Carolina and South Carolina to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance.
  • Travel to project locations as needed, including overnight stays when required based on project location and travel distance.
  • Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Review project timelines, budgets, invoices, and documentation.
  • Partner with leadership and internal teams to establish priorities and resolve challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular project status updates.
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to customer expectations.
