Job description

Exercise Physiologist - Cardio-Pulmonary Responsibilities
  • Serves as a member of the rehab team engaging in performing cardio-pulmonary services.
  • Demonstrates competence in the development and leadership of exercise programs for cardio-pulmonary patients.
  • Evaluates and supervises the patients and remains current in approaches, exercise prescription and treatment of the cardio-pulmonary patient.
  • Acts as a preceptor for exercise interns and provides education to the staff and patients in the area of expertise.

Qualifications:
Education
Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology; OR Bachelors in Related Field
Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology
Credentials
Required Credentials: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Credentials: ACSM-CES (American College of Sports Medicine-Clinical Exercise Physiologists); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Experience
Preferred Experience: 2 years Cardiac Rehabilitation and 1 year Internship
