Job description

SEWS โ€” Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS โ€“ Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.

JOB TITLE: Design Engineer III

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. This is a Hybrid Work Position following company policy (currently 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home). Upon Managers discretion, skill development needs, status of the project, and others, employees may be required to work in the office all 5 days.
  2. Create / maintain and ownership fuse box 3D design, design changes, and drawings within Unigraphics (NX).
  3. Interpret, maintain and develop schematics / BOMs.
  4. Create / maintain projects to program timing and due dates.
  5. Support / conduct internal meetings and design reviews.
  6. Interface with customer; meetings, design reviews, build support, etc.
  7. Develop DFMEA, DVP&R, 5P documents.
  8. Interpret and apply GD&T to SEWS drawings.
  9. Travel may be required (>10%).
  10. Work with Team on Continuous Improvement Activities.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years engineering experience required.
  • Required Unigraphics (NX) CAD experience.
  • Fuse Box Design / Engineering Experience.
  • Stellantis, Ford, Rivian or GM experience is a Plus.
