Hillview Home Based Serves is currently searching for compassionate team members for Non-Medical In-Home Care. Non-Certified / Certified Nursing Assistantopportunity. We are staffed by a team of home care professionals who are tirelessly committed to providing excellent care for our members in their own home.

A caregiver is usually responsible for attending to the specific needs of an elderly person, but a caregiver may also attend to the needs of an a disabled person. Caregivers serve a key role in the healthcare industry. Here are some basic caregiver job responsibilities:

  • Change linens and make beds
  • Prepare and plan meals (including clean-up)
  • Help with walking and light exercise
  • Plan ahead for future meals, check expiration dates on food
  • Do laundry
  • Light housekeeping duties (such as vacuuming and dusting)
  • Assist with dressing, grooming, and bathing
  • Take out the trash
  • Run small errands (pick up prescriptions, grocery shopping, etc..)
  • Remind when to take medications
  • Engage in mental and physical exercises
  • Escort to appointments (doctor, physical therapy, hair salon, etc.)
  • Organize mail and maintain a schedule/calendar
  • Escort to religious services
  • Engage in regular activities (talking, games, etc.)
  • Record daily care notes
  • Make note of any significant changes in the client to the agency/service

Qualifications

Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions provided by the company and effectively communicate with supervisors and members. Must complete the required training and complete special training classes as scheduled...

  • Maintain confidentiality of the member and company information..

  • Observe all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

  • Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook.

  • Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

  • Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.

  • Follow member Rights policies at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Organized and detailed in work performance.

  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.

  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people

  • Comply with the members' Rights and company Policies and Procedures.

  • Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.

  • Perform Essential Duties as outlined above.

Working Conditions

  • Subject to frustrations in meeting work demands due to frequent interruptions.

  • May work beyond normal duty hours and on weekends when necessary.

  • Subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).

  • Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, covid and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.

  • May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Physical and Sensory Requirements

  • Assist in the evacuation of members during emergency situations

  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with members, personnel, and support agencies.

  • Meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of this company, which may include a medical and physical examination.
