Home Based Recipe Development information

What is home based recipe development?

Home based recipe development involves creating, testing, and refining recipes from your own kitchen, often for clients, publications, or personal projects. This job typically requires a strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredient combinations, and food safety. Many home based recipe developers work as freelancers or small business owners, providing original recipes for cookbooks, food blogs, magazines, or product promotions. The role also often includes photographing dishes and writing clear instructions for others to follow.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a home based recipe developer?

To succeed as a Home Based Recipe Developer, you need a solid understanding of culinary techniques, nutrition, and food safety, often supported by formal culinary training or significant cooking experience. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, recipe management software, and food photography tools is typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong written communication skills help you craft appealing and reliable recipes. These abilities are crucial for producing high-quality, original recipes that engage audiences and meet industry standards.

What are some common challenges faced in home based recipe development, and how can they be managed?

Home-based recipe developers often encounter challenges such as limited kitchen space, sourcing unique or high-quality ingredients, and ensuring consistent recipe testing results. To manage these, it's helpful to organize your workspace efficiently, establish reliable sources for ingredients, and keep detailed notes during each testing session. Regularly collaborating with other food professionals online or joining recipe development communities can also provide valuable feedback and support for overcoming obstacles.

Job description

Adi is a vertically integrated development platform with investment, design, development and construction capability. That integration is why we move at a speed this industry was not built for. Our mission is insurgent: deliver homes faster, better and more cost-effectively than anyone in the market - and reinvent how homes are delivered, not just how they are sold.

This is an unprecedented market, and the challenges are real. It is also the market we were built for. We have standing, move-in-ready inventory to sell today, new communities launching behind it, and pricing set deliberately below comparable resale. In this market, that is the difference between showing homes and selling them.

We are looking for an experienced, high-performing sales leader with a proven record of closing transactions, building trust and connections with customers, and delivering sales. The mandate is simple: work closely with our marketing team to convert qualified traffic and broker relationships into firm sales, and sell these communities out. We run a disciplined operation - clear weekly targets, transparent performance standards - and we pay for performance.

The Role
  • Convert appointments, walk-in traffic and broker registrations into firm sales.
  • Own the full sales cycle: first contact, presentation, negotiation, firm agreement.
  • Develop and maintain broker and agent relationships across the GTHA.
  • Guide purchasers through deposits, financing milestones and closing to a standard that generates referrals.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline in our CRM and execute against weekly targets.
What You Bring
  • A verifiable track record. Be prepared to walk us through your last 24 months: units, volume, conversion.
  • Demonstrated closing ability. New home or pre-construction experience is an asset; sustained sales performance is the requirement.
  • A hunter's discipline: consistent prospecting, immediate follow-up, full ownership of your pipeline.
  • Fluency in the GTHA market and purchaser financing, or the capacity to build it quickly.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Availability during prime selling hours, including evenings and weekends. Real estate license not required.
Why Adi?
  • Employee Home Ownership Program: eligible team members receive a discount off the total purchase price of a home in the communities we build.
  • Learning & Development Reimbursement: tuition and education reimbursement to support your growth.
  • Paid Time Off: 10 days of Vacation, 5 paid Wellness Days and 3 paid Sick Days annually.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Plan: dental, prescriptions, vision care, paramedical practitioners, life insurance and more for you and your dependents.
  • Flexible Health, Lifestyle & Wellness Personal Spending Account: for fitness, family and pet needs, additional health coverage and more.
  • Dedicated Online Mental Health Partner: 24/7 access to online therapy support.
$75,000 - $75,000 a year

Base salary of $75,000 plus uncapped commission and performance bonus. On-target earnings (OTE): $425,000 at sellout - with rolling opportunities as new communities launch.
