Job description

Lead Imaging Compliance & Systems CoordinatorWhat We're Looking For:
  • Experienced imaging professional with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality standards, and radiology information systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred.
  • Current Louisiana State license to perform in the capacity of a Radiographer.
  • Strong knowledge of Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards and other regulatory requirements related to hospital imaging services.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with radiology management systems, auditing processes, and compliance programs.

What You Will Do:

Coordinates and facilitates the compliance program and information systems of Imaging Services while supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care standards.

  • Coordinate and schedule professional, technical, radiology, nursing, and support staff to meet daily patient care and operational needs.
  • Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing resources to maintain productivity and service excellence.
  • Coordinate daily department operations and facilitate regular staff meetings.
  • Manage the Imaging Services compliance program and ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and departmental standards.
  • Develop, update, and monitor department standards of practice and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct service delivery audits and implement corrective action plans to improve performance and maintain compliance.
  • Review exam tracking processes and collaborate with leadership to resolve identified issues.
  • Serve as a resource for imaging charge capture, exam documentation, and compliance-related questions.
  • Develop response strategies for service delivery concerns and assist with staff training and education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve imaging service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement, upgrades, and expansion of compliance programs based on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Manage and maintain the Radiology Management System and related imaging information systems.
  • Generate, analyze, and report accurate operational and financial data from imaging systems.
  • Evaluate departmental charging practices and recommend process improvements.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, and support needs related to patient charges and physician reporting.
  • Serve as departmental supervisor when assigned and perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain compliance with all HIPAA regulations, patient privacy requirements, and organizational confidentiality standards.
  • Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to established safety practices, policies, and procedures.
