GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Instruct courses in Radiologic Technology. Maintain scheduled office hours and student support as required by the College and the department. Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities. Maintain professional licensure, certification, and clinical competency. This position reports to the Program Director of Radiologic Technology and exercises no supervision. Employee may not exceed 19.5 hours per week.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort-restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light lifting (less than 30 lbs.), some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis. Work environment-Minimal hazard/exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science, Health Science, Education, or related field
Experience: Five full-time years of work experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical setting
Special Requirement: Current, unencumbered Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license; current, unencumbered ARRT Certification
