Full-time faculty for lecture/lab/clinical site visits in the Radiologic Technology (AAS) program and Limited Medical Radiologic Technology Program (LMRT).

Minimum Education/Training/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
  • Three years' clinical experience in professional discipline.
  • Current unencumbered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
  • Current unencumbered Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist license.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience
  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Education or Radiologic Technology.
  • Advanced Modality certification
  • Instructor in an accredited program.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral communication.
  • Knowledgeable in instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
  • Technology literate.
  • Detailed knowledge of material in the specific course and program area, radiographic positioning, anatomy, and use of various types of imaging equipment.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Principles and practices of teaching.
  • Knowledge of student engagement techniques.
  • Leadership skills in professional education setting.
  • Is qualified to teach all subject matter within the program.

Job Duties
  • Preparing and maintaining course outlines and objectives, instructing, and evaluating
  • Participating in didactic and/or clinical instruction, as appropriate.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
  • Provide class content relevant to course outlines and curriculum in compliance with college policies.
  • Attends and participates in the program and institutional committees and meetings.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of program policies procedures, and student progress.
  • Teach face-to-face, online, and Hybrid courses as assigned.
  • Maintain required student advisement hours and provide student advising.
  • Promote retention and persistence by assisting students to develop strategies for success.
  • Participate in the accreditation and assessment process.
  • Support the Program Director to ensure effective program operations.
  • Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials.
  • Assist the Clinical Coordinator in clinical facility visits and preceptor recruitment.

Licensing/Certification Requirements
  • Current unencumbered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
  • Current unencumbered Texas General Medical Radiologic Technologist license.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Teaching opportunities will include day, evening, and weekends.
  • Able to travel to various clinical facilities.
  • Proof of immunizations as required by all clinical sites.
  • Clear drug and background screening.
  • Valid driver's license
