Home Based No Experience Computer Science information

How to get a home based no experience computer science job?

To secure a home-based no experience computer science job, focus on building foundational skills through online courses, tutorials, or certifications in programming languages like Python or Java. Highlight transferable skills such as problem-solving and communication, and consider applying for entry-level roles like technical support or data entry that may require minimal experience and offer remote work options.

What types of projects or tasks can I expect when starting a home-based computer science role with no prior experience?

In entry-level, home-based computer science roles, you can expect to work on foundational tasks such as basic coding assignments, software testing, data entry, or assisting with troubleshooting. Many employers provide training or assign you a mentor to help you get started and develop your skills. Collaboration usually happens through online platforms like Slack or Zoom, and you'll often work on small project components as part of a larger team. As you gain experience, there are opportunities to take on more complex projects or move into specialized areas like web development or data analysis.

Home Based No Experience Computer Science roles typically focus on entry-level tech tasks with minimal credentials, often working remotely in IT-related fields. Data Entry Clerks also work remotely but focus on administrative data management. Both roles are suitable for beginners seeking flexible, home-based employment, but they differ in industry focus and skill requirements.

Can you do home based no experience computer science jobs from home?

Home-based computer science jobs that require no experience are available, often in roles such as data entry, technical support, or entry-level programming. These jobs typically require basic computer skills, a reliable internet connection, and sometimes certification or training programs to get started. Many companies offer remote positions with flexible schedules for beginners in the field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed for an entry-level home-based computer science role with no prior experience?

To succeed in a home-based, entry-level computer science position, you need a basic understanding of programming concepts, logical thinking, and a willingness to learn, often supported by online courses or bootcamps rather than formal degrees. Familiarity with beginner-friendly programming languages (like Python), version control systems (such as Git), and common collaboration platforms (like Slack or Trello) is typically required. Strong self-motivation, time management, and effective online communication skills help you stand out in a remote work setting. These abilities are crucial for successfully adapting to virtual team environments, managing independent projects, and building a foundation for a tech career.

Job description

Summit Golf Brands designs and sources high-end golf apparel and sportswear worn at more than 3,000 accounts in over 25 countries, from leading country clubs and resorts to our own online shop. Behind every crest we put on a garment is a team that takes real pride in precise, well-made work, and we're looking for an Embroidery Operator to join that team in Barneveld, WI.

This is a hands-on production role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, cares about getting details right, and wants a steady, full-time position with a company that invests in its people.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Operate a 6-head embroidery machine to apply club logos and crests to garments with precision and care
  • Follow production work order instructions for logo placement, thread colors, and garment location
  • Hoop garments accurately and efficiently, standing for extended periods as the role requires
  • Send logo files to the embroidery machine using our computer programs
  • Pull and set up thread colors per the work order, load them correctly, and return them to the thread rack when the job is complete
  • Monitor each run for proper tension, thread breaks, and jump stitches, and flag anything unusual to your supervisor
  • Trim backing and threads on longer-running jobs as time allows
  • Scan the start and end time of each job task using our tracking system
  • Keep your work area clean and organized at the end of every shift
  • Be available to work mandatory Saturdays

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We welcome candidates who can perform the essential functions below, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with repetitive movement of the wrists, upper arms, and shoulders
  • The ability to bend, twist, and reach continuously throughout a shift
  • A willingness to take on additional duties as needed

NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior embroidery experience
  • Experience in the apparel industry

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT HERE

In return for your craftsmanship, Summit Golf Brands offers a genuinely strong compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 14 paid holidays, plus vacation and personal days
  • Paid time off
  • Life insurance and flexible spending account
  • Employee assistance program
  • Employee discount on Summit Golf Brands apparel
  • Referral program
  • Other voluntary benefits
  • Growing company with room to grow

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (day shift), with mandatory Saturdays as needed
  • On-site in Barneveld, WI. Candidates should be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting

Come join our team. We'd love to have you.
