Job description

Neonatologist – Full-Time | Level III NICU | Lexington, KY

Seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join a collaborative and well-supported Level III NICU team in Lexington, Kentucky. This permanent opportunity offers a team-oriented environment focused on high-quality neonatal care, procedural proficiency, and strong work-life balance. This position requires local residency, and relocation assistance may be available. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice Setting:

  • 32-bed Level III NICU

  • Approximately 4,000 annual deliveries

  • Busy newborn nursery service

  • Collaborative team consisting of 2 Neonatologists and 2 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners during daytime hours

  • 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage

  • Home-based night call responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care in the NICU and newborn nursery

  • Perform and maintain proficiency in neonatal procedures

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

  • Participate in mentorship, professional development, and quality care initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

  • Kentucky medical license or willingness to obtain

  • DEA required prior to start

  • Clean malpractice and licensure history strongly preferred

  • NPDB self-query report dated within 30 days required at presentation

  • Must reside locally to the practice location

  • Open to new graduates

  • Visa sponsorship is not available
