Job description

Job Purpose Statement/s: Under the supervision of the site administrator, provides standards-based music instruction for pupils in grades TK - 8th. Creates a classroom environment favorable to learning and professional growth. The Music Teacher will organize a schedule for, and work with classroom teachers in developing a classroom music program; will organize and teach classes in instrumental and/or vocal music; will develop performing instrumental music and/or choral music ensembles. Establish effective rapport with pupils to motivate them to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation in music.

requirements / Qualifications

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and Testing Required: Valid California teaching credential authorizing instruction in music with English Learner Authorization. Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and fingerprint
Clearance. Credential:
Multiple Subject K-8 Teaching Credentials with Supplemental credentials in music or
Multiple subject K-8 Teaching Credentials with verified years of experience in music QI
Single Subject Music Credential CLAD or BCLAD or equivalent preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher required
