Position: MuleSoft Developer 

Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid work, 2-3 days/week onsite)

Clearance: Active Secret 

Job Description: 

Seeking an experienced MuleSoft Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of  Modernization Program. This initiative will modernize over 90 legacy systems over the period of 10 years and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers. The journey to the cloud is a key consideration for modernization of the CA's applications. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Use your technical proficiency with the MuleSoft to design and develop business functionalities using inbuilt CRM/CX technologies and functionalities 
  • Understand Business Requirements, perform impact analysis and assess technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome 
  • Work with stakeholders to design, develop, document, and implement solutions on the MuleSoft platform and API development standards 
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures 
  • Work with systems architect and support team members to address security and compliance (e.g. section 508, FISMA) requirements related to the setup of MuleSoft and Salesforce platform sandbox and development environments 


Requirements

Qualifications: 

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 (five) years' experience or four (4) years of additional relevant experience in lieu of Degree 
  • At least 5 years direct experience in software development lifecycle 
  • At least 3 years of experience in development of enterprise-level MuleSoft projects throughout implementation lifecycles with demonstrable success 
  • At least 3 years of experience with APIs lifecycle in all the stages 
  • Experience with designing, development and implementing workflows 
  • Experience and understanding business requirements, working with stakeholders, and implementing complex integrations 
  • Hands on experience with implementing certificate-based security for Mule applications 
  • Experience in Agile environments and methodologies 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: 
  • Certified MuleSoft Developer Level I or II 
  • Experience developing/deploying applications written in open languages and integration with Salesforce platform 
  • Knowledge or previous experience in designing enterprise secure services using REST based APIs including SOAP based APIs
