We are currently looking for a Facilities Engineer III or Senior level for our Longview, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Engineer provides technical support and engineering expertise for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of pipelines, compressor stations, measurement & regulation (M&R) facilities, and related midstream assets. As a field-based member of the operations engineering team, the Operations Engineer functions as the first-line technical support—supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and process safety requirements. This role collaborates closely with Field Operations, Engineering & Construction, and other Asset Performance & Innovation groups to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the successful execution of asset management initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector (midstream oil & gas preferred).
  • Working knowledge of pipeline, compressor station, and/or M&R facility operations.
  • Familiarity with process safety management (PSM), management of change (MOC), and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering software and digital tools.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations as required (up to 40% of the time).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting field operations in an owner’s engineer capacity.
  • Experience with digital transformation, automation, or data analytics in field operations.
  • Knowledge of asset integrity, measurement, automation, or compression systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
