Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• 5+ years' experience in Aerospace and Defense industry
• 7-10 years of manufacturing / production engineering experience, ideally in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Expert in 2D drafting and 3D CAD with the proven ability to create and update drawings (shop aids, tooling, and detail drawings).
• 2D drafting & 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS / ALTIUM / CATIA / Creo / NX /), GD&T, PFMEA templates, VSM / lean toolset, routing & work-order systems (ERP/MES), tooling-design and maintenance-planning tools.
• Practical experience authoring PFMEA, work instructions, routings, and shop-floor documentation.
• Working knowledge of lean tools Value Stream Mapping, TAKT / cycle-time analysis, and cell-layout optimization.
• Familiarity with tooling design and retro-engineering of legacy parts.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with operators, quality, and the client industrial focal point.
• Experience with aerospace integrated systems that include mechanical, electrical, software integration. Experience with composite material and bonding process a clear plus.
• Exposure to integrating 3D-scanning / reverse-engineering workflows.
• Experience with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and first-article inspection.
• Familiarity with AS9100 / aerospace quality systems and packaging specifications for BUY items.
• Familiarity with UAV / unmanned-systems programs.
• Green Belt (Lean / Six Sigma) or equivalent continuous-improvement training.
• Exposure to AS9100 / aerospace quality systems and DFM-driven cost reduction.
• Exposure to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) a plus
Roles & Responsibilities
• Capture the current state: document current operations and work instructions on the shop floor.
• Create the Process FMEA (PFMEA) for the manufacturing process.
• Design new tooling or perform retro-engineering for parts lacking updated definition, and produce a comprehensive tooling maintenance plan.
• Create shop-aid drawings and update / create Work Instructions to bridge the delta from the new design definition (mandatory drawing-update capability).
• Update routing and work orders to reflect the optimized process.
• Calculate and optimize TAKT time and cycle time.
• Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Identify bottlenecks, improve cell layouts, and optimize shop-floor flow.
• Create or update the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and support testing.
• Define packaging specifications for all BUY items.
• Support the ENG/ME/QE signature release loop from the manufacturing-engineering side.
• Work with high performing global delivery teams and service practices with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients business performance, drive quality in TCS deliverables, and exhibit promptness to internal and external customers

Base Salary Range : $85,000 to $120,000 Per Annum
