What is a home based labelling?

A Home Based Labelling job involves tagging, categorizing, or labeling data, products, or images from home. Tasks may include adding descriptions to images, labeling product packages, or sorting data for machine learning models. These jobs are often part of remote work opportunities offered by companies looking to organize and categorize information efficiently. No specialized skills may be required for entry-level roles, but attention to detail and consistency are crucial. Pay can vary based on the complexity and volume of the work assigned.

What does a home based labelling do?

In a Home Based Labelling role, your day usually involves reviewing instructions provided by your employer, accurately applying labels to products or data files, and maintaining clear records of completed work. You may be required to receive materials shipped to your home, use specified labelling software, or upload documentation via an online portal. Communication with supervisors is often handled through email or project management tools to address any questions or updates. The work structure is generally independent, allowing for a flexible schedule, but adhering to deadlines and quality standards is crucial for ongoing success. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy detail-oriented, repetitive tasks in a self-managed environment.

Job description

About

Label Aid is a family-owned manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels, tags, and tape based in Huron, Ohio. Since 1984, we have partnered with startups, established brands, and manufacturers to deliver dependable packaging solutions backed by consistent quality, responsive service, and decades of experience.

We serve a wide range of markets, including industrial and chemical, automotive, food & beverage, wine & spirits, nutraceuticals, cannabis, and specialty consumer goods.

Label Aid is seeking: Outside Sales Representative - Pressure Sensitive Labels (Industrial & Durable Labels)

Position Summary:

Label Aid is growing, and we are looking for an experienced outside sales professional to develop new business in industrial, chemical, automotive, home and garden, and other related label markets.

This role offers the freedom to build a meaningful book of business, direct access to decision-makers, and experienced support when opportunities move quickly. Strong representatives can stay focused on selling, solving customer problems, and growing accounts rather than navigating unnecessary internal roadblocks.

The role is ideal for someone with direct experience selling pressure-sensitive labels, or adjacent forms of packaging. Knowledge of
flexographic printing, digital label production, industrial labels, specialty adhesives, navigating formal procurement processes, or technical packaging requirements is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, trade shows, referrals, and targeted outreach
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects primarily for industrial, chemical, automotive, home and garden, or related manufacturing markets
  • Sell pressure-sensitive label solutions primarily into
industrial, chemical, automotive, home and garden, or related manufacturing markets
  • Navigate discovery, formal procurement processes, and production timelines while managing the expectations of prospective and existing customers
  • Identify customer needs related to substrates, adhesives, finishes, application requirements, durability, compliance, and production timelines
  • Work closely with estimating, customer service, prepress, production, and leadership to develop accurate quotes and practical label solutions
  • Manage the full sales process from initial outreach through discovery, quoting, sampling, follow-up, closing, and account development
  • Grow existing customer relationships by identifying new projects, product lines, locations, or opportunities for improved label performance
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, customer communication, and pipeline status in CRM
  • Stay informed on customer needs, market trends, and new opportunities within assigned industries or territories
  • Represent Label Aid professionally during customer visits, facility tours, industry events, and trade shows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to customer service and production

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated B2B sales professional who understands how to sell value, solve customer problems, anticipate needs, and build long-term relationships within the industry.

We are especially interested in candidates who bring experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Selling pressure-sensitive labels into industrial, chemical, automotive, home and garden, or related manufacturing markets
  • Selling adjacent packaging products, such as RFID solutions, containers, flexible packaging, or industrial identification products
  • Digital and flexographic printing processes
  • Adhesive performance and constraints, including hot-melt, acrylic, removable, freezer-grade, outdoor, and durable applications
  • Packaging procurement, sourcing, or supplier management

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably within labels, packaging, printing, or a related industry
  • Strong prospecting, qualification, pipeline-development, and new-business development skills
  • Ability to understand technical product and application requirements and communicate them clearly to customers and internal teams
  • Comfortable working independently and managing priorities in a remote or hybrid sales environment
  • Resourceful and self-directed, with the ability to research unfamiliar markets, applications, and prospective accounts
  • Ability to use AI tools independently to research accounts, prepare for meetings, analyze information, develop outreach, and improve personal productivity
  • Proficiency using CRM and sales enablement platforms (e.g., Apollo, HubSpot, ZoomInfo)
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits, prospect meetings, trade shows, industry events, and periodic visits to Label Aid's facility in Huron, Ohio

What we offer:

  • Competitive base salary plus a performance-based commission structure
  • Significant, uncapped earning potential tied directly to new-business development and account growth
  • A strong existing customer base, proven manufacturing capabilities, and a broad range of label solutions to support your sales efforts
  • Access to CRM, prospecting, AI, marketing, estimating, and technical resources to help identify and win new business
  • Autonomy to manage your territory, prospecting strategy, travel schedule, and customer relationships
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and career growth as the company and sales organization expand
  • 401(k) matching and profit sharing
  • Medical, life, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Holiday pay
