Job description

Job Summary for J2EE Developer ( Washington, DC):
- Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
- Contribute to high-quality software development for large-scale Java/Spring Batch/Hadoop distributed systems.
- Analyze business requirements and create technical design documents aligning with company architecture standards.
- Perform unit and system testing, code debugging, and implementation activities.
- Lead and execute the software development lifecycle, including documentation and maintenance of complex programs.
- Resolve technical issues through research and investigation.
- Ensure applications meet expected performance levels.
- Utilize experience with Java (1.7/1.8), Spring Framework, Jenkins, Gradle, Github, RESTful services, and Unix Scripting.
- Leverage expertise in SQL (DB2 & other SQL databases) and Rabbit MQ; Hadoop experience is a plus.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a telecom environment.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of business needs driving projects.
- Follow approved lifecycle methodologies and contribute to program specifications and documentation.
- Work onsite in Washington, DC (must be within 30 miles).
- Emphasis on ML (Machine Learning) focus over traditional Java programming.
- Telecom industry experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
