Job description

Resource 1 is in need of a Java Developer for a long-term contract. This is hybrid/ remote, so selected individual should be local to Chicagoland area. The goal of the project is to standardize/ modernize our client’s internal web applications. Selected individual will be involved in building new web applications using Java. The technical stack will be Java, Angular and SQL Server, following Agile methodology with 2-week sprints. Experience with Java and SQL are required. Angular experience would be preferred but it’s not required. The majority of work (70% plus) will be spent on middle-tier in Java, with the remainder spent on the front-end (Angular) and back-end (SQL). Individual should have experience with full life-cycle development, from analysis, design, coding to deployment and testing. The client is currently on a Linux platform, but this is only a plus. Induvial will be interacting with both the business and technical side, so strong communication skills are required.
