T3 HVAC is a locally owned and growing HVAC company serving Whitehall and the surrounding Lehigh Valley. We specialize in residential and light commercial heating and cooling and are seeking an experienced HVAC Service & Installation Technician comfortable with both service calls and installations.

We need someone with strong, well-rounded HVAC experience who can diagnose and repair equipment one day and complete a full system installation the next. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who understands the trade, can work independently, solves problems in the field, and takes pride in doing clean, professional work.

Position Overview

As an HVAC Service & Installation Technician, you will work on a combination of service, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, system replacements, and new installations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform complete HVAC system changeouts and installations
  • Install and service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, mini-splits, boilers, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigerant, and low-voltage issues
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams and equipment specifications
  • Properly braze, pressure test, evacuate, recover, charge, and commission HVAC systems
  • Check refrigerant pressures, superheat, subcooling, temperatures, and system performance
  • Install and repair refrigerant line sets, condensate drains, venting, gas piping, ductwork, and low-voltage wiring
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups
  • Identify problems and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement options
  • Communicate professionally with customers about system conditions and completed work
  • Complete job photos, service notes, startup information, and required documentation
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Work independently while also being able to work effectively with installers, helpers, and other technicians
  • Help minimize callbacks by making sure repairs and installations are completed correctly the first time

Requirements

  • HVAC service and installation experience required
  • Strong residential HVAC knowledge
  • Ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC systems
  • Ability to complete full system changeouts and installations
  • Strong electrical and low-voltage troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and proper charging procedures
  • Experience with brazing, evacuation, refrigerant recovery, and charging
  • Understanding of airflow, ductwork, gas piping, venting, and condensate systems
  • EPA 608 Certification required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Own basic HVAC hand tools
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions in the field
  • Must take pride in clean, professional workmanship
  • Light commercial experience is a plus
  • Boiler and mini-split experience is a plus
