  • Perform pipe sizing calculations and system evaluations
  • Size and evaluate engineered equipment and instrumentation (PSVs, meters, valves, etc.)
  • Specify vendor requirements and review technical submittals
  • Monitor vendor progress and compliance with design specifications
  • Conduct site walks and field surveys to gather design and constructability data
  • Interface directly with customer engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
  • Mentor and technically guide junior engineers and designers

Required Technical Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of ASME B31 piping codes and applicable oil & gas standards
  • Proficiency with P&IDs, mass balance diagrams, and piping specifications
  • Experience with compression, pump, and rotating equipment sizing
  • Working knowledge of process simulation tools (ProMax, HYSYS)
  • Proficiency in piping design and material selection
  • Familiarity with oil & gas constructability, fabrication, and logistics
  • Experience reviewing vendor drawings and data books
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam

  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong technical judgment and decision-making ability
  • Effective communicator with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Organized, detail-driven, and capable of managing multiple work fronts
  • Self-directed engineer who understands execution constraints and field realities

Experience Requirements

  • 48 years of engineering experience in upstream or midstream oil & gas or refining
  • Experience working with EPCs, EPCMs, producers, or midstream operators
  • Background in engineering design, construction management, or facility operations
