Job description

We are seeking a talented Digital Content Creator to join our Marketing & Communications team. This is an on-site contract position based at our District Office, ideal for a creative professional who enjoys collaborating in person and producing high-quality content in a fast-paced environment. This role is expected to average approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to expand into a full-time position.

 We're looking for someone who is well-rounded in multimedia content creation with strong skills in both graphic design and video production. The ideal candidate has experience recording high-quality video and audio, setting up lighting, capturing compelling footage, and managing the entire production process from concept through final editing.

 Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop or similar tools), have a strong eye for visual storytelling, and be passionate about creating engaging digital content across social media, websites, email, and other marketing channels.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 All employees are first and foremost ministers of the gospel, called of God to lead others to Christ, and to use their gifts, talents and abilities for God?s glory (Colossians 1:18, John 1:17, Colossians 3:17, I John 3:3, 7). The Digital Content Creator supports the effectiveness of the ministry?s leadership by assisting in the development and implementation of producing engaging graphic content, social media content, and editing videos to support our digital marketing and communications efforts. This person shall be spiritually mature and shall reflect the purpose of the ministry, which is to honor Christ at all times.

Job Classification: Regular, Part-Time, hourly ranging from $23.00-$25.00

RELIGIOUS REQUIREMENTS

HCS hires to its mission. In order to further the mission of HCS, all employees must:

  • Participate in, and occasionally lead, staff prayer meetings and devotions, and other ministry outreach opportunities.
  • Answer basic questions about the Christian faith, provide religious resources, and pray with students and parents.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent. BA/BS in a related field, a plus.
  • Have at least three to five years of experience in content creation, including developing and producing content for digital media platforms.
  • Have organizational skills and the ability to work with people, projects, and resources.
  • Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, proficient in MS Office, publishing, graphic design and media tools.
  • Receive a fingerprint clearance to work with children from State and Federal governments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

All employees receive a Physical Requirements Chart for their specific assignment. Employees must be able to able to meet the physical requirements to perform the essential functions of their job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Technical Skills:

Professional Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to the department administrator functioning in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Create high quality and appealing photo, video, and graphic content for multiple applications
  • Work on specialized assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is needed in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
  • Assist with collateral preparation and marketing of school events (open house, fundraisers, Annual tree lighting, etc.)
  • Work independently with little to no instructions on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
  • Providing administrative support to relieve managers and staff of administrative details.
  • Show initiative and go through the proper channels to offer suggestions for improving ministry procedures.

Administrative Duties

  • Serve as a liaison between the Department Administrator, District Office and HCS campuses.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute digital content strategies that align with HCS?s brand and mission.
  • Supports maintaining messaging quality control, including all site appearances by developing and enforcing content and display standards including editing submissions, ensuring that all posts and communications are aligned with our brand.

Additional Duties or Responsibilities

  • Stay current with advertising, marketing and social media best practices networks and industry standards.
  • Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the ministry in a favorable and professional manner to the ministry?s constituency and the general public.
  • Be willing to adjust work hours to accommodate special schedules or ministry-related activities as requested.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the administration.
