Job description

Job Title: Production WorkerJob Description

The Production Worker prepares and moves raw materials to support manufacturing operations, ensuring components are accurately measured, loaded, and processed through the production line. This role works closely with machine operators, assisting with material preparation, monitoring product flow, and performing basic inspections. As skills develop, the Production Worker has the opportunity to advance into a permanent role on day shift.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare raw materials and components for production by measuring small amounts of metals into containers and weighing them accurately.
  • Load prepared materials into barrels and ensure they are correctly staged for processing on the production line.
  • Monitor product as it comes off the line to verify proper flow, quality, and consistency.
  • Work closely with machine operators to support safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
  • Assist with general production tasks, including assembly, inspection, and material handling as needed.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures to perform daily tasks with precision.
  • Read and follow operation and production instructions to maintain consistent processes and output.
  • Perform visual inspections and basic troubleshooting to identify issues with materials, equipment, or product quality.
  • Support furnace, heat treating, and foundry-related processes as directed, following safe shop floor practices.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when required, in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dirty, industrial environment, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with leads and team members, communicating effectively to meet production goals and schedules.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to protect self, coworkers, and equipment on the shop floor.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed operation and production instructions.
  • Safe and proficient shop floor practices in an industrial environment.
  • Basic production and machine operation skills.
  • Experience with inspection and general production tasks.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to perform general labor and assembly work as part of production.
  • Capability to operate forklifts and handle materials safely, if required.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with leads and operators.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90/hr.
