Job description

THE ROLE
Avocado is currently looking for a Green Glove Driver to join our Logistics team. This role is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products to customers, supporting store restocks, and assisting with photoshoot setups. The Green Glove Driver will ensure a premium delivery experience while representing Avocado's values of sustainability, quality, and service.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, experienced in driving bobtail trucks, skilled with pallet jacks and basic tools, and comfortable interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. This role will be based at one of our Fullerton locations and will require travel for deliveries.
  • Note on Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $21.00 - $24.56 Hourly.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
  • Safely operate a bobtail truck to deliver Avocado products to customer homes, retail stores, and photoshoot locations.
  • Load and unload products using a pallet jack and other equipment.
  • Assemble and set up furniture or mattress products as needed during deliveries.
  • Provide a professional, "green glove" delivery experience by communicating clearly, handling products with care, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Support restocking of Avocado retail stores by delivering inventory.
  • Assist with company events and photoshoots by transporting and setting up products.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure paperwork is completed properly.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, traffic regulations, and DOT standards.
  • Conduct routine truck inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics team members to ensure efficient operations.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
  • Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (commercial license preferred but not required).
  • Experience driving box/bobtail trucks.
  • Experience using pallet jacks and basic hand tools for assembly.
  • Prior delivery, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (team lift for larger items).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to safety.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lift/Move: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly (team lift for heavier items).
  • Active Role: Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the day.
  • Operate: Must be able to safely operate pallet jacks, dollies, and hand tools.
  • Drive: Must be comfortable driving bobtail trucks for local deliveries.
  • Environment: Work performed both indoors (customer homes, retail stores) and outdoors (during loading/unloading).
