You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, interior designers, engineers, and trade partners to develop thoughtful, fully buildable homes. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on position where design thinking, technical expertise, and problem-solving directly shape the final product.

You will be responsible for supporting and guiding projects forward with clarity and intent, resolving design and constructability challenges, and ensuring smooth progression from concept through final construction.

Essential Functions

  • Create innovative, high-quality design concepts for luxury remodels and custom homes
  • Provide guidance and coordination to internal design and drafting team members
  • Partner with clients to understand their vision, lifestyle, and goals
  • Lead design presentations and client meetings in a clear, engaging, and confident way
  • Produce and coordinate detailed construction documents and design drawings
  • Ensure designs are beautiful, functional, buildable, and code compliant
  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and internal teams to bring designs to life
  • Manage multiple projects while keeping schedules, communication, and deliverables on track
  • Solve design and constructability challenges with smart, creative solutions
  • Support permitting, approvals, and coordination throughout the review process
  • Visit job sites to see designs come to life and ensure alignment with intent
  • Partner with sales and project teams on feasibility, design direction, and presentations
  • Stay inspired by trends, materials, and innovations in residential design

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect (or similar CAD tools)
  • Strong understanding of residential structural systems, construction methods, building systems, and code requirements
  • Knowledge of codes, permitting, and construction documentation (California experience strongly preferred)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong design vision with practical, buildable thinking
  • Great communicator who enjoys working with clients and teams
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Detail-oriented, but never loses sight of the big picture
  • Positive, collaborative, “let’s figure it out” mindset

Work Environment: Full-time, fully in-office role (Monday through Friday)

Salary & Compensation

  • $80,000 to $120,000 depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Simple IRA with employer match
  • Flexible PTO and sick days, increasing with tenure
  • A supportive, creative, and fun team environment where your work is valued

How to Apply
