This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality orthopedic physical therapy services directly to clients in their homes. Work Environment

The work setting for this role is primarily within our clients' homes throughout the Tampa area, allowing for a flexible and personalized care approach. Each day will involve traveling to various locations, requiring adaptability and effective time management skills. You will be supported by a network of healthcare professionals within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment focusing on preventing disability and relieving pain, while enhancing muscle function and maintaining maximum client performance.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing therapy plans to promote optimal client recovery and independence.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, and joint function, developing tailored care plans to meet individual needs.
• Assess home environments to identify modifications that enhance the client’s independence and facilitate effective rehabilitation.
• Administer therapeutic treatments, including exercises, traction, and massage, and instruct clients on their execution to maximize recovery and rehabilitation.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations for necessary modifications.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with agency policy.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to review and update treatment plans, leveraging collective expertise for improved client outcomes.
• Educate clients and families about their therapy program and the use of physical therapy devices, ensuring comprehensive understanding of their care.
• Actively contribute to the development and revision of care plans and assess the utilization of community resources to optimize therapy outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves clients with orthopedic concerns, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation after injury. Your expertise in orthopedic therapy will be essential in guiding clients through individualized rehabilitation programs, enhancing their recovery journey, and supporting their return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaborative patient care.
• Ability to adapt to various home environments and client needs, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care settings, particularly in providing orthopedic therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation processes.
• Prior experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
