What is home based alt text writing?

Home based alt text writing is a remote job where individuals create descriptive text for images, graphics, and other visual content to make them accessible to people with visual impairments. Alt text writers describe what is shown in an image, ensuring that screen readers can convey this information to users who cannot see it.
