A&P Aircraft Technician – Remote/Home-Based

Location: Remote/Home-Based within the contiguous United States
Schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off
Compensation: Starting at $60/hour
El Paso, TX or Titusville, FL: Additional $5/hour location premium
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Travel: Required

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced FAA-certified A&P Aircraft Technicians to support a growing Learjet 60 fleet. This consolidated position includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, line and heavy maintenance, troubleshooting, and mobile aircraft support.

Technicians may live near one of the company’s designated home-base airports. Transportation to and from assignments, hotel accommodations while traveling, and up to $60 per day for meals are provided.

This opportunity is ideal for technicians who are comfortable traveling, working independently, troubleshooting aircraft discrepancies, and supporting a fast-paced Part 135 operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service company aircraft.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with maintenance manuals and FAA regulations.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other aircraft-system discrepancies.
  • Support aircraft recovery and mobile maintenance assignments as operational needs require.
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with company procedures and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance control, flight crews, vendors, and other technicians.
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, aircraft parts, and inventory.
  • Travel to company facilities, maintenance bases, and aircraft locations throughout the United States.
  • Work independently and adapt to changing priorities in time-sensitive situations.
Required Qualifications
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • At least six years of aircraft inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, or servicing experience.
  • Strong aircraft troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 135 and/or Part 145 maintenance operations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work an 8-on/6-off rotating schedule.
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when required.
  • Ability to provide and maintain the tools required to perform assigned work.
  • Comfort with electronic maintenance records and Microsoft Windows-based programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Learjet 60 or 60XR maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305A engines.
  • Corporate or business-jet maintenance experience.
  • Part 135 operational experience.
  • AOG, mobile-service, field-maintenance, or aircraft-recovery experience.
  • Experience working independently in high-pressure or time-sensitive maintenance environments.
Location and Schedule Options

Home-Based Technicians

  • Live near one of the company’s designated home-base airports.
  • Generally work an 8-day-on/6-day-off rotation.
  • Company-paid transportation to and from assignments.
  • Hotel accommodations provided while traveling.
  • Up to $60 per day for meals on the company card.

El Paso or Titusville Technicians

  • Receive an additional $5/hour location premium.
  • May select a rotating or Monday–Friday schedule, subject to operational requirements.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
