Job description

In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

with Interim Healthcare of Scranton, PA 

in Lackawanna, Wayne, and/or Luzerne Counties

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

  • $14-$15 per hour
  • 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
  • Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
  • Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support
  • Build your skills with online training and earn CEUs

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

  • Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
  • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
  • Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
  • Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
  • Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
  • Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
  • CPR certification  
  • Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
  • Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
