Job description

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, or electronic components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. This role ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
  • Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications and standards
  • Identify and report defects, shortages, or process issues to supervisors
  • Test assembled components for functionality when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Meet daily production goals and adhere to deadlines
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Document work performed as required (checklists, travelers, logs)
  • Assist with rework, repairs, or continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (technical certification a plus)
  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, or schematics
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring devices
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
