aliveOne is now hiring a Barback. Must have experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant. Work with us to make great money, have fun, and be part of an awesome team!

aliveOne is our flagship location paying homage to live music, past and present. Serving up the best in music and spirits, any night of the week you can enjoy half-price happy hour, live concert DVDs playing on the TVs and Chicago's only all-live music jukebox playing in the front room. Our weekly events include a new live band in the back room every Wednesday, our Thursday resident band, DJ dance parties on Friday and Saturday, and many others.
If you are a strong communicator, have a hospitality mindset, always bring your a-game, live for teamwork and love to spread positivity, work with us!
You must embrace and help us carry out our passion to enhance neighborhoods by creating the most enjoyable guest experiences for people to gather, eat, and drink.

  • Ensure that the bar is prepared and set up for success
  • Keep constant awareness of the bar's needs
  • Change blown kegs
  • Keep the bar clean, including all workspaces and glassware
  • Replenish and stock ice, alcohol, juices, glassware, etc.
  • Bus tables throughout shift
  • Great communication skills
  • Be a good teammate
  • Be responsible, show personal accountability, and be reliable
  • High-volume barback experience preferred
  • Must maintain alcohol knowledge and safety certifications as required by company and city/state
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and certain holidays
