As a Holter Monitor technician, your day often involves preparing patients for cardiac monitoring, correctly attaching electrodes and ensuring proper device operation, as well as instructing patients on how to maintain the device over a set monitoring period. You will also be responsible for retrieving and uploading the recorded data, analyzing ECG results for irregular patterns, and generating detailed reports for physicians. Collaboration with nurses, cardiologists, and other allied health staff is common, as is maintaining the equipment and managing patient records. This role provides a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to patient care and diagnosis while working in a supportive healthcare environment.
