Job description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Holman's upfitting division has a great opportunity for an Installation Mechanic-B to join our team in Maple Shade, NJ.
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Pay: $25 per hour
  • Important skills: assembly, electrical wiring, welding, and hydraulics
  • Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license

From custom orders to entire fleets, Holman designs, manufactures, and installs equipment for a wide variety of customers, trades, and industries. We have solutions for service bodies, mechanic bodies, platform bodies, dump bodies, gooseneck bodies, light-duty trucks, and vans. We install ladder racks, partitions, truck mounted welders and generators, floor liners, shelving, cranes, and other electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic equipment.
What will you do?
- Install new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles
- Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints
- Safely mount and connect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
- Test installed parts prior to final inspection
- Verify all line items have been completed on the work order
- Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
What are we looking for?
- 3-5 years of previous electrical, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience required
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Understanding of 12V circuits
- Ability to troubleshoot problems
- Previous experience with hydraulics and welding
- Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
- Must be able to work in multiple environments - shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office
- Must have a valid driver's license
