Opened in December 2021, IU Health Bloomington Hospital at the Regional Academic Health Center is a state-of-the-art facility. It provides leading-edge medicine and treatments to patients and families in the South-Central Region. Our new facility offers an acuity adaptable model of care, designed to support a wide range of patient needs. This allows our nurses to handle varying levels of care professionally and safely.
Our Bloomington facility has opportunities for several different inpatient units. Begin your career or lead/mentor those around you in units like the NICU, L&D, Emergency Department, Med/Surg, Acuity Adaptable, Renal & Sepsis Care, ICU, Medical Observation, and more. Shift: Various shifts and statuses for inpatient units at IU Health Bloomington. However, all inpatient units have a shift requirement of having 1 on call day every 6-weeks.

Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
