TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Petoskey, Michigan.

BLS (AHA)
2+ years of straight med surg.  Not float, not SDU/TELE, etc.  Must be straight RN MS - [REQUIRED]
Level II or I - Trauma level experience - [REQUIRED] 
Travel - [PREFERRED]

IMPORTANT!nnMcLaren Northern has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.nLevel 2 North is a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population consisting of general and vascular surgery bariatric surgery plastic surgery trauma and is the stroke unit for the hospital. It is a challenging fast-paced environment with great learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses.nNursing on this unit is patient-centered and focused on patient safety and delivery of quality care for positive patient outcomes. We value what each and every team member contributes toward providing excellent patient care that is evidence-based as well as holistic. Two North has an active and engaged Unit Based Council Shared Governance that promotes a healthy work environment of teamwork and positivity. Using clinical pathways patient education and interactive communication as guides all aspects of patient care are addressed by our exceptional Interdisciplinary Care Team. These positive and progressive attitudes contribute to a collaborative environment involving all members of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to provide excellent patient care and positive outcomes.nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESn Clinical Expertise: Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop implement and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological psychosocial spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant others changing needs amp goals utilizing the Clinical Practice Model CPM and the Caring-Quality Model. Knowledge: Seeks life-long learning through certification advanced practice higher education and literature review. Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge being a clinical resource and professional role model. Communication: Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships SBAR and interdisciplinary communication. Productivity: Demonstrates enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others in order to contribute to the overall performance of the team. Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives.
