Travel Registered Nurse (RN)- Eagles

MD, Cumberland - North Branch Correctional Institution - Cumberland, MD 21532

Travel RNs assigned to Maryland earn up to $3,085/week including non-taxed weekly stipend

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at North Branch Correctional Institution located in Cumberland, MD.

Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Travel Program RN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Maryland, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The RN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.

Shift: Three 12-hour evening shifts, 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
  • Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Maryland
  • Must live 80 miles from facility
  • Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
  • Corrections experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
