Lantern Government Solutions is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a full-time opportunity in Hopkinsville, KY with the Western State Facility. Apply your nursing skills and knowledge to impact a vulnerable population and make a difference.
Job Summary
Join a mission-driven team at Western State Hospital where Registered Nurses (RNs) play a vital role in providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric and medical care. RNs assess and respond to a broad range of physical, psychological, and social needs of our residents while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable populations in a supportive, structured environment.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
  • Deliver holistic, direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and guidelines.
  • Function as a charge nurse when assigned, overseeing total care for residents on designated wards.
  • Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Aides, and Nurse Aides.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other staff to meet comprehensive patient needs.
  • Maintain nursing documentation and ensure compliance with Kentucky Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Assist with shift planning, problem-solving, and adherence to facility protocols.
  • Request guidance from senior clinical staff when necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Work Schedule:
Available shifts include:
  • 6:45pm-7:15am (12-hour shifts) 3 days per week, plus every other weekend
  • 6:00pm-7:00am (12-hour shifts) 3 days per week, plus every other weekend
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Kentucky State-approved nursing program (new graduates welcome).
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or Compact State.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from an in-person course.
