Part Time Third Shift

BHCOR-Cor ICU CCU Dept. I Corbin, KY

Critical Care is a 10-bed unit providing critical care for patients with both medical and surgical diagnosis.

Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.

Description:

Complete/documentassessments and changes.

Update careplaneach shift with measurable goals.

Evaluate interventions and patientresponse.

Develop education and discharge plans.

Communicate status and ensureaccuratedocumentation.

Deliver care per policy and physician orders.

Implementcare and education plans.

Performprocedures,handle emergencies.

Assiststaff, direct activities, monitorcompliance.

Facilitate patient flow.

Delegate tasks appropriately.

Requirements

Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.

Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.

ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

Basic Life Support is required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation
