Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the Pain Clinic

Job Overview: An APRN is a healthcare professional with advanced education, clinical training, and expertise in a specialized area of nursing. They are licensed to provide a wide range of healthcare services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care for individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standard Schedule: 32 patients facing pain center hours a week + 8 admin hours
  • Manage medication refills
  • Review referrals and input orders
  1. Patient Assessment:
    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments to gather information about patients' medical histories, symptoms, and current health status.
    • Perform physical examinations to identify health issues and formulate appropriate care plans.
  2. Diagnosis and Treatment:
    • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
    • Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
  3. Care Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, considering physical, emotional, and psychosocial factors.
