Position Overview

As a Remote Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Brightside Health, you will play a vital role in delivering quality mental health care through our innovative telehealth platform. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct live video therapy sessions and utilize evidence-based methodologies to support clients as they navigate their mental health challenges. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely, allowing you to create a flexible schedule that meets both your professional aspirations and personal life.

About the Organization

Brightside Health is dedicated to redefining how mental health care is delivered. Our mission is to provide scientifically backed, compassionate, and culturally responsive care tailored to the unique needs of our members. Utilizing a robust model based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Unified Protocol, our virtual counseling strategies are designed to optimize therapeutic outcomes. At Brightside, we believe in the power of professional collaboration; therefore, you will be part of a team of skilled counselors and psychiatric providers committed to comprehensive patient care.

Work Environment

This role offers complete flexibility as it is entirely remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your own home in Hermiston, Oregon. You will connect with clients via live video sessions, delivering mental health services in a relaxed and engaging digital environment. With access to advanced electronic medical record (EMR) systems fully integrated with treatment tools and progress monitoring features, you will have everything needed to maintain efficient, effective documentation and therapeutic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly, evidence-based therapy sessions to adult clients dealing with a variety of emotional and psychological disorders using secure telehealth technologies.

  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatric professionals to formulate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.

  • Monitor client progress through standardized self-assessments and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation using our user-friendly counselor portal that streamlines the documentation process significantly.

  • Participate in live consultation sessions with the Therapy Leadership Team for professional development and case collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will primarily consist of adults seeking support for a myriad of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, and emotional regulation. Drawing on your expertise and empathy, you will create a welcoming space where clients can freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, ultimately working toward recovery and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher qualification in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with active LPC licensure in Oregon.

  • Minimum of two years of experience providing therapeutic services to adults in a clinical setting.

  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in telehealth or remote therapeutic settings.

  • Familiarity with Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS) methodologies.

  • Prior experience with electronic medical record systems and digital documentation tools.

Compensation and Benefits

Brightside Health offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include 100% remote work, malpractice and tail insurance coverage, as well as opportunities for both W2 and 1099 employment based on state licensure. We provide billing support to allow you to focus on patient care, and our operational teams are available for technology and administrative assistance.

Career Growth Opportunities

We support our counselors' professional development through access to ongoing education opportunities. Enjoy free monthly continuing education training (CEUs) and enhanced clinical supervision through weekly consultation sessions. As a member of Brightside, you will also have the opportunity to develop specialized skills in crisis management through our unique Crisis Care Program.
