Job description

The Project Manager provides leadership and direction to blasting crews both onsite and offsite, prepares project schedules, coordinates manpower, equipment, and logistics for each assignment. This position is responsible for planning and managing the sequence of project activities to ensure deadlines are met and projects progress smoothly through completion. This role requires strong customer service communication skills, as the PM will serve as the face of Hog Technologies while working onsite at customer locations.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Motivate, direct, coach and develop a diverse, high performing team through coordination and supervision of the team members on location within the department
• Plan, organize and execute daily/weekly work schedules based on business needs and availability
• Determine staffing and equipment needs, planning staff development as well as internal role development
• Monitor and evaluate performance of each team member clearly communicating the expectations for the position, performance feedback, coaching and appraisals
• Maintain and build customer relationships in competitive geographical locations while recognizing the locations where expansion is necessary to drive profitability and build presence
• Develop and maintain a customer retention program
• 24/7 availability for schedule requests/revisions from current and potential customers received via phone and/or email
• Create alliances with known contractors to increase our opportunity of a successful bid
• Create and adhere to monthly and annual departmental budget while driving profitability by focusing on efficiency optimization
• Weekly management meetings to discuss department's achievements, problems, concerns, goals and forecast
• Manage and promote company's purpose and priorities
Required Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field managing a services division
• Must be able to work independently
• Mechanical aptitude is necessary
• Must be an energetic self-starter and have an intense sense of urgency; and capable of following tasks through to completion.
• Must possess the ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated with abilities to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
