Part-Time Warehouse Clerk
Job Summary:

Hog Slat, Inc., the world's leading provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Clerk with a hard work ethic and experience with the parts & equipment used in modern poultry facilities to join the team at our location in Beulaville, NC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
  • Assist in shipping & receiving of merchandise in warehouse
  • Stock store shelves to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized store front and warehouse
  • Work with Hog Slat retail employees and company drivers to meet the needs of our customers quickly and efficiently
  • In the event that other retail store employees are busy, you will be responsible for helping customers with their needs.
  • Arrive at the store on-time and ready to work for all scheduled store hours
  • Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Hog Slat and by our vendors
  • Continually upgrade industry knowledge
  • Make deliveries to customer's farms and other Hog Slat locations

Skill/Knowledge Required:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
  • Ability to repetitively lift and move 75 lbs.
  • At least 1 year working in a warehouse environment required
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving
  • Fork lift certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry/swine facilities
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to use Outlook Email, Word, Excel, in daily communications
  • Ability to easily become proficient at using Hog Slat's inventory management software.
