Job description

We are presently looking for an Electrical Engineer with a practical experience in the industrial controls field and a strong background in PLC/HMI programming.


You will work for the Novotics and SICO Systems Control divisions of Daburn. Novotics and SICO design, program and build industrial automation controls for a variety of clients and end-users in Middlesex NJ.


Requirements/Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in industrial controls and automation

PLC and HMI programming

Analog controls and PID Loops (instrumentation)

Motor controls (motor starters and VFDs)

Able to work independently or as a team member

Practical knowledge of NEC

Primary Responsibilities:

Design control systems per customer specifications

PLC and HMI programming

Test & troubleshoot control systems

Write functional specifications and user manuals

Prepare purchase orders for project-related parts and equipment

Assist sales in technical issues and quotations

Field start-up and customer assistance

Able to travel (less than 10% per year)

Desirable experience:

AutoCAD

SolidWorks

National Electric Code (NEC)

UL508A/CSA standards

Knowledge of Ethernet networks
