  • Ensure proper change management practices are followed for all new or revised production and rework processes.
  • Support new product introductions by developing rework procedures and process standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze production and rework performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that improve rework cycle times, increase efficiency, and reduce overall manufacturing costs.
  • Drive yield improvement projects focused on reducing defects, scrap, and non-conforming material.
  • Utilize root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies to resolve recurring process issues.
  • Recommend and implement best practices that improve operational effectiveness and product quality.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for rework operations across production and quality teams.
  • Support internal and external rework activities, including field, supplier, and customer-related containment actions.
  • Coordinate production rework priorities in alignment with production plans and business objectives.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement equipment and tooling improvements that enhance rework capabilities and efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for rework processes, process controls, and manufacturing troubleshooting.

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for production personnel and rework technicians.
  • Train employees on new processes, equipment, SOPs, and quality requirements.
  • Support workforce capability development through hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Operational Support

  • Perform hands-on production and rework activities when necessary to support business needs.
  • Track and quantify rework labor hours and support chargeback documentation related to supplier quality issues.
  • Support cross-functional teams in resolving production inefficiencies and quality concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, process engineering, quality engineering, or a related industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, and industrial engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction methodologies.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, and Corrective Action processes.
  • Ability to develop SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, process control methodologies, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
