To thrive as a Health Information Technician, you need a solid understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations, typically supported by an associate degree and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification. What are HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks)?

HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks, are small, simple tasks that require human judgment and cannot easily be performed by computers. They are commonly found on crowdsourcing platforms like Amazon Mechanical Turk. Examples include identifying objects in images, transcribing audio, or categorizing data. HITs are typically completed quickly and pay a small amount per task, allowing workers to complete many in a short period.
