Program Director
Balanced Martial Arts — Eastchester, NY

Most days at Balanced Martial Arts come down to small moments. A parent worried about their kid's focus. A new family trying to figure out if this place is right for them. We need a Program Director for those moments.
Balanced Martial Arts has been serving Eastchester and surrounding communities for 25 years. Almost 500 active members. Documented systems for how everything runs. A team of instructors who've been here for years. The right Program Director isn't going to be building any of this from scratch. They're stepping into something that already works, and helping us make it better.
This role fits two kinds of people. An experienced martial arts school Program Director who's hit their ceiling and wants room to grow. Or a strong sales and operations person from outside the industry looking for work that actually matters.
Here's what the Program Director actually does. They make sure every student is understood, informed, and supported. They're the person parents trust. They're the reason a 500-member school still feels like a family.
Career Path: This seat is the natural feeder into a Location Manager role as we grow — with broader influence over operations, team development, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation
  • Enrollment Conversion
  • Student Growth
  • Student & Family Retention
  • Financial & Operational Health
  • Facility & Presentation
  • Team Leadership
  • Social Media & Brand

What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
•         2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, operations, or a client-facing role
•         Strong communication and interpersonal skills — especially with parents and kids
•         Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning systems and metrics
•         Comfortable with technology
•         Reliable, accountable, and coachable
Nice-to-Haves
•         Prior management or supervisory experience
•         Martial arts background or personal training experience
•         Sales or closing experience
Compensation
This role pays a base salary of $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
On top of your base, you earn performance bonuses tied to new student enrollments and program upgrades. With those bonuses, solid performers typically earn total compensation in the $90,000–$105,000 range, and top performers earn more.
Schedule
Our business operates when students and families are available, so evenings and weekends are part of the role. We prioritize a consistent 5-day work week with predictable hours, rather than split or constantly changing schedules. Evenings and one weekend day are a regular part of the role, as these are our highest-impact times for enrollment, student development, and family communication. Schedules are set in advance and remain stable.
