Job Description
Under general supervision, performs custodial duties and ensures sanitation control. Maintains offices, buildings, or plant facilities in clean and orderly condition. Sweeps, mops, polishes floors, removes trash, and cleans furniture. Makes minor maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities
  1. Performs general cleaning such as: stripping floors, buffing, sweeping, dusting, mopping and scrubbing, cleans windows, walls, drinking fountains, chalkboards, and restrooms.
  2. Picks up trash on grounds and sweeps entrance walks. Replaces light bulbs and tubes.
  3. Removes trash from the building and places in containers. Sets-up and breaks down cafeteria tables.
  4. Moves and rearranges furniture. Cleans halls and replenishes supplies as scheduled. Assists with waste prevention or careless use of supplies, equipment and utilities.
  5. Maintains inventory of supplies.
  6. Oversees the security of the school at the end of each work day.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
